Services - Individual Therapy

All therapy sessions are 50 minutes in length. I offer in person sessions (on Tuesdays) and via tele-health on Thursdays. I use a HIPPA compliant network called SimplePractice; our conversations are confidential. I work with individuals ages 18+ and am an out of network provider. I am happy to provide superbills that you can submit to your insurance company if you have out of network benefits. I offer complimentary 15 minute consultation calls prior to intake sessions, so that you have the opportunity to share a bit about what you are seeking services for and I can explain the different techniques and modalities that I incorporate in sessions, and answer any questions that you may have. During this time, we can also determine if working together is a good fit.

Specialties

  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

ADHD is close to my heart as several of my loved ones have Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.  I am an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider. I have been trained to help those with ADHD integrate their emotional, behavioral, relational, and achievement challenges in order to thrive.  We work together to determine areas of growth and develop practical strategies to improve everyday life. Some interventions might include motivational interviewing, actively introducing a pause before responding to a situation or person, and problem-solving ways to stay organized and motivated when completing tasks.

  • Parenting

As a mom of three children, I am enthusiastic about working with parents. I help parents navigate their parenting journey as their children grow and develop.  I offer a firm, loving and good spirited approach to parenting. It can be helpful for new parents to explore their family of origin dynamics when beginning their own parenting journey. This exploration can inform how they in turn want to parent.

Working with parents of children with ADHD is especially satisfying.  I have a strengths-based approach that parents so often need after struggling to parent their children. As parents adjust expectations to meet their children at their developmental level, space is created for a more positive home environment.

  • Young Adults

I enjoy working with young adults and college age clients who are navigating a tremendous amount of change in career choices, forming relationships and establishing independence. I focus on building rapport and creating a safe space for honest expression.

  • Women in Mid-Life Transitions

Mid-life can bring a quiet awareness that life is finite and always changing. Roles and priorities may shift from what they once have been. Therapy allows clients to evaluate what feels meaningful to them right now. This path to self discovery can create an intentional way forward with new found wisdom.
